Wolf O'Donnell is the leader of team Star Wolf, a group seemingly formed to rival Star Fox. Not much is known about Wolf or how he received his eyepatch. Wolf and his team was hired by Andross to deal with Star Fox during his attempt to takeover the Lylat System. As a result, Wolf and Leon were joined by Pigma, former Star Fox pilot, and Andrew Oikonny, the nephew of Andross. The team encountered Star Fox on Fichina while leading a fleet of Venomian ships. Despite their advantage, the Star Wolf team was defeated. They fight again on Bolse, only to lose yet again. After most of Andross's forces had been defeated, Star Wolf arrived to defend Venom and were defeated yet again.
In the nine years after, Wolf became known as 'Lord O'Donnell' among the criminals at the Sargasso Space Hideout. When Fox invaded Sargasso looking for Pigma, Wolf organized his team (consisting now of himself, Leon, and Panther) to take down Star Fox, but was inevitable defeated. However, once the Aparoid threat become more apparent, Wolf and his team arrived on Corneria to provide Fox some neccessary aid. Afterwards, Star Wolf provided Star Fox backup two different times, including the battle on the Aparoid Homeworld. After the planet exploded, the Star Wolf team was nowhere to be found.
Star Wolf continued their lives of crime, not unnoticed by the Cornerian military. In response, a bounty was placed on their heads (Wolf has the largest bounty, at S$3000000). To avoid the military's attention, they set up a base on Fichina.
Wanting to remove their bounties and tired of being seen as villains, Star Wolf began to plot out a way to defeat the Anglar Empire. After a battle with Fox, Slippy, and Lucy Hare (assuming Fox and Slippy went to Lucy's aid), the team split up. While Leon and Panther went to Katina, Wolf was presumably researching a device that Andross built that would neutralize the toxicity of the Venom Sea. Star Fox found the device on Titania first, however, and Star Wolf was not seen again.

Did you know?
- Wolf can be unlocked to play in Star Fox Assault's multiplayer mode. Due to his three maxed out stats, he's quite a formidable player.
- Wolf briefly appears in the opening cutscene for Super Smash Bros. Melee, dueling with Fox in space. He does not have his own trophy, but Star Wolf's Wolfen starfighter does.
- Command description: "The leader of the Star Wolf squadron. Despite the fact that Star Wolf is a rival organization, Wolf has a grudging respect for Fox."
- Three storylines of Star Fox Command do have Wolf and co. finding the neutralizing device and using it to assault Venom. In one of those, they are only able to destroy the Anglar HQ and force them to the Asteroid Belt, where Star Fox finishes the Emperor Anglar off. In the other two, Star Wolf defeats the Emperor Anglar and they're considered heroes, stealing glory from Fox and Falco (who recruited Wolf at Fichina and brought him to Titania to get the neutralizing device; Wolf then stole the device from them).

ROB 64 is the analysis and observation robot stationed on the Great Fox. His primary function is to pilot the Great Fox while the Star Fox team are engaged in Arwing battles or land missions. Additionally, he is typically used to handle deployment of resources to the team, such as energy cells, bombs, and other supplies. During the first mission against Andross, ROB served primarily in this role, straying very little from that role.
In the eight years after, ROB had fallen into disrepair due to lack of funds for him and the Great Fox. Because of this, ROB inadvertantly spread the fuel cells for the Arwings all over Sauria, forcing Fox to have to gather them up to travel to different parts of the planet. However, with the funds from saving Sauria, ROB was rebuilt and improved for the mission against the Aparoids the following year. At that point, Peppy remained on the Great Fox, assisting ROB in aiding the Star Fox team. In the final battle, the Great Fox was crashed into the shield protecting the Aparoid Queen. However, ROB and Peppy were able to use an escape pod and were able to leave before the Aparoid homeworld exploded.
By the beginning of "Star Fox Command", ROB 64 and Fox were the only remaining members of the Star Fox team. In the game ROB constantly provided advice. Once again operating from the Great Fox, ROB would also fire missiles from the ship at nearby enemies. In one ending path ROB's lack of confidence in Slippy's abilities annoyed the toad to the point where he threatened to shut him off. Later on Amanda actually did the job.

Did you know?
- His name is a reference to the NES peripheral ROB. However, his japanese name is NUS 64, which stands for Nintendo Ultra System 64, the original name for the N64.
- Command description: "The ever-calm robotic operations chief of the Great Fox. At times, his sarcasm chip overrides his logic circuits."
- One of his comments suggests that he has a crush on Lucy Hare.
- One point of curiousty in "Star Fox Command" is that ROB and the Great Fox are present in every mission, sometimes with no explanation; for example, if Krystal chooses to leave Fox to join Star Wolf, ROB and the Great Fox accompany Wolf's crew in the next mission as if they had always been there. It is highly unlikely that Krystal took the ship and ROB with her when she left.
