LucasArts تطرد 100 موظف، عدة مشاريع تتأثر (إلغاء كوتور 3؟)

While LucasArts public relations did not get back to us today, several former LucasArts staffers did, with one telling us that 75-100 employees were laid off from the company, including the producer of LEGO Indiana Jones and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Shawn Storc. According to another source, up to 80% of staff has been laid off in departments such as Production Services, which includes QA and Compliance, with jobs planned to be outsourced overseas. Cuts were also said to be made in development, with art and programming staffers being laid off.

السبب المحتمل:

"There are some that believe that more money can be made by licensing the SW and Indiana Jones IP to third party developers than through in-house development," hinting that the change in leadership "could spell trouble for the LucasArts division."

المشاريع اللي حسب بعض الموظفين المطرودين راح تتأثر وممكن تلغى أو يتم إعطائها لشركات خارجية أو فرق مختلفة:

- KOTOR 3 (A joint project between Lucasarts and BioWare)
- Battlefront 3
- "The Official Indiana Jones" game (probably this one)
- "another LEGO game based on the Indy universe"
- "a lightsaber game for the wii (sorry, no lightsaber peripherals)"

الألعاب اللي ما راح تتأثر هي The Force Unleashed (المكتملة) و Fracture، اللي يقولون الموظفين المطرودين أنها زبالة بكل معنى الكلمة.

الشركة حاس ان وضعها صعب .. بس انا مو متأكد اذا كان جورج لوكاس يدعمها مباشرة .. اذا لا .. فأتوقع الافلاس قبل انتهاء الجيل ..

An ex-employee of LucasArts has leaked details regarding a number of titles in development, including a BioWare-developed Knights of the Old Republic MMO.

The source has told Kotaku that he is one of 75-100 employees laid off in a massive shake-up yesterday, including the producer of the Lego Star Wars and Indy titles.

As well as KotOR 3, the ex-staffer spilled the beans on production going ahead with Battlefront 3 (which we exclusively revealed is being developed by Free Radical), a new (non-Lego) Indy game (although we knew about that) and a Wii lightsaber game.

Considering the leak comes from an ex-LucasArts employee, we're not expecting a confirmation of these titles any time soon. Still, we know that LucasArts and Bioware are working on *something* together. We'll have to see.

همم في رأي لا يلغون kotr 3 ويةbattlefront 3 لانهم من احلى الالعاب اللي لعبتها ,واحتمال هالتسريح صار لان lucas arts ما صارت تكسب بقوة من الالعاب السابقة وعندك دليل حلو مثل star wars اللعبة الستراتيجية اللي لما اطلقوا الexpansion فشلت فشل ذريع واظن انهم يخففون من نسبة المشاريع الغير مكسبة لكي يشتروا developer جديد ولكني لا اعلم . XD

همم حلوة , بالنسبة لfracture يمكن تكون اللعبة حلوة لان حالها مشابه لhaze الكل قبل الاصدار قالوا حلوة بعد الاصدار قالوا خايسة والاغلاط ممكن تصليحها بكل سهولة .
