بعد حصول ريميك Star Fox اليوم على عرض دعائي جديد في حلقة الدايركت وتوفّر النسخة التجريبية، تمّ الإعلان عن أنّ اللعبة من تطوير Velan Studios وهو فريق التطوير الذي قدّم لنا اللعبة الجماعية التنافسية Knockout City.
تطوير اللعبة تمّ من خلال محرّك VIPER الخاص بالفريق والذي ساعد على تقديم تجربة سلسة على السويتش 2 تعمل بمعدّل 60 إطاراً.
