بالأمس خرج لنا تقرير إعلامي من شبكة بلومبيرق الإخبارية يشير لكون لعبة التصويب الخدماتية Xdefiant من شركة يوبي سوفت قد بدأت حياتها كمشروع لعبة Splinter Cell قبل أن يتم تغيير الخطة لاحقا وعنوان اللعبة.
منتج اللعبة Mark Rubin عبر حسابه الرسمي بمنصة اكس قام بالرد على ذلك التقرير وأشار بعدم صحة ذلك التقرير على الإطلاق، اللعبة لم تكن أبدا مشروع لعبة Splinter Cell وكانت من البداية لعبة Xdefiant:
