Dead Or Alive 4 Delayed?
Retailers list Dead or Alive 4 with ship date of December 1.
by Douglass C. Perry
November 9, 2005 - In a surprise shift that may disappoint long-time Dead Or Alive fans, retail chains have moved back the release date of Tecmo's fighter to December 1.
Both Electronics Boutique and GameStop list Dead Or Alive 4, Team Ninja's dynamic 3D fighter, as releasing eight days after the console launch, Tuesday, November 22, to Thursday, December 1.
When IGN reached Tecmo, the spokesperson had no comment.
Retailers have been known to regularly and illogically change release dates, but that game was included in several bundles for which consumers have already pre-paid, and those too have shifted. In the long-term, fighting fans will still get their fisticuffs on this holiday, but they will have to wait just a little longer.
أتمنى ألا يؤثر ذلك على مبيعات الجهاز ^^
Pac-Man 360
Namco's adds arcade classic to Ridge Racer 6.
by IGN Staff
November 9, 2005 - A great tradition of the Ridge Racer series will continue with Ridge Racer 6. The Xbox 360 launch title will include Pac-Man as a playable mini game. You'll play the classic arcade quarter-muncher during the initial load screen. The PSP Ridge Racer featured Rally X in the same role.
Namco has also recently unveiled a new multiplayer mode of play for the game. The latest issue of Famitsu has offers a first look at a horizontal split screen mode. The game will allow for two player play in Offline mode. As previously reported, full-screen Xbox Live play is also included, with support for at least 10 players simultaneously.
Ridge Racer 6 seems to be speeding along in development. Famitsu introduces new tracks such as Downtown Rave City, Sunset Heights, Aviator Loop, Laketop Parkway and Midwotn Parkway, as well as new cars, from standard speedsters such as the Angelus to the more experimental vehicles, including the hover-craft-like 490B (the Japanese name for this sounds like a play on the "360" name). While Namco is providing a set of music tracks for the game, you'll have the option of racing using your own music.
RR6 is expected for launch both in America and Japan.

Bungie Confirms Halo, Halo 2 on X360They're not only compatible, but they run in 720p, too.by David AdamsNovember 9, 2005 - Bungie's official site today revealed what any even half-intelligent Xbox gamer would have guessed: Halo and Halo 2 will run correctly on the Xbox 360. The better news, however, is that not only does Halo 2's Xbox Live functionality transfer intact, but both games on the X360 can render at widescreen, at 720p, with full-screen anti-aliasing.
From the official announcement:
"To clarify, the 'new' version of Halo or Halo 2 is simply the disk you have already. Pop it into your 360 and it'll load up just like before. You will have to log into Xbox Live to enable Halo 2's online functions, but both games will work immediately.
"But here's another bonus - the hardware in the 360 can do a lot of nifty stuff, and specifically in the cases of Halo and Halo 2, it can display the graphics in wide screen, at 720p, with full scene anti-aliasing. And it doesn't look kludgy, artifacty or smeary like an upscanning DVD player. The best way to describe it is that both games look like they're running on a PC at those resolutions."
Previous Microsoft sell-sheets confirmed months ago that Halo 2 was backward compatible on Xbox 360. It's also a no-brainer that Halo would be backward compatible. But at 720 with full anti-aliasing? Nice. Cheers goes out to Bungie for saying what we already knew.
We're doing our own tests and tickles of the Xbox 360's backwards compatibility as we speak -- stay tuned for plenty more on what we find.
