UK Times: Fans say PS3 lacks 'wow' factor

What the machine actually delivered was a dazzling array of graphics. The dozen games on show yesterday have reached such sophistication that eyelashes, blades of grass and droplets of water can be animated individually.

But fans and analysts were united in the view that the PS3, despite the superiority of its technology, has failed to demonstrate its “wow” factor.

It will be an expensive, complicated machine, and must make early gains before Christmas to win over the Japanese market, where it will be sold for 50,000 yen (£226). Britain will not get any PS3s until March.

Fans criticised a lack of innovation. The controller was almost exactly the same as the one that came with the original PlayStation and PS2.

It also relies heavily on recycled hits. The games set to be released with the machine bear tell-tale “more of the same” titles such as Everybody’s Golf 5, Virtual Fighter 5 and Ridge Racer 7.

As a result, industry observers have tipped Nintendo as the likely victor in the console war.

جريدة سويدية عن TGS :

Swedish Aftonbladet also had a negative article on the new console. They gave it 3 out of 5.
They basically say "Wii has the innovation" and PS3 only offers what the 360 already has. Also he says "Nobody I talked to is interested in buying a Blu-Ray player for 6000" (6000 Swedish Kronor). He was impressed by Heavenly Sword and MotorStorm, but he wasnt very impressed by Gran Turismo HD and Formula One 06.

But the question on everybody's lips when they step up to the machine is: has it been worth the wait? And luckily for Sony after stepping away from the machine, grinning, the consensus is yes. The PlayStation 3 looks, sounds and plays as you would hope.

نقرأ شوية في المقالة ونشوف العبارة هذي:

اها بغض النظر عن فقشة ان الفانز يشتكوا لأني حتى الآن ما شفت واحد اشتكى..لكن هم يقولوا الكنترولر نفس القديم.. الشكل, طيب المواصفات ؟ SIXAXIS وين ؟ ايييه... ننزل شوية ونلاقي انبراشة غريبة لموضوع المفروض يكون مخصص للPS3 :

واو.. يعني الPS3 فوق خلوه غالي وكنترولر نفس كنترولر الPS2.. والوي خلوه رخيص وبكنترولر ثوري.. ويقلك مراقبين الصناعة توجوا ننتندو الفائز نتيجة للنقاط الي ذكروها.. أبغى مراقب واحد مو مراقبين لو سمحتوا.

وبعدين نقطة إن الجهاز يعتمد على أجزاء جديدة نقطة مضحكة, أولا لأن الPS3 هو أكثر جهاز حتى الآن أعلنت له new IPs, الشي الثاني وين المشكلة ؟ الفيديو جيمز طالما اعتمدت على الأجزاء الجديدة لعناوين قديمة لأن الجمهور يطلبها.. فاينل فانتسي - دراجون كويست - سوبر ماريو - زيلدا - ويننج إليفن - رزدنت إيفل - ميتل جير ... والا جت على سوني بس 🙂

هرج مايودي ولا يجيب..ياحليلهم الجرايد وهم ساكتين

فيه شوية غضب بسبب التأجيل الاوروبي لكن انتقاد بسبب كنترولر لبلاي3 لوووووووووووول اول مرة اسمع بيها..يمكن فيه شوية تحفظ بسبب الشكل المطابق للديوال شوك1و2 لكن انتقاد ولا مافيه اختلاف حتى بالمواصفات هههههههههه
