من الاشياء الجديدة في المقابلة ان أتحدث عن امكانية تنزيل العاب سونك القديمة على XBOX Live Arcade

The hot-footed hog is sprinting onto Xbox 360 and we’ve had a chat with the game’s Director at Sonic Team!
If a console is judged by the characters that have games on it, then the Xbox 360 was handed a major boost last summer when Sega announced Sonic The Hedgehog would be sprinting onto the console this year.
What better way to celebrate the spikey-haired blue hedgehog’s 15th birthday (we know, it makes us feel old too…) than a new adventure on a next-gen console?

But apart from a few early screenshots and a brief trailer shown last year there hasn’t been a lot of info on his Xbox 360 outing. So we were extremely privileged recently to grab a short-but-sweet chat with Masato Nakamura, the game’s Director at developer Sonic Team.
While Nakamura-san was reluctant to give out too many specific details (questions about the level design and how different the style of gameplay would be were deflected with a polite “no comment”) we did get a few tasty tidbits about how the power of the Xbox 360 will enhance the game, how Sonic could raise the profile of the Xbox 360 in Japan, and even the potential for classic Sonic games on Xbox Live!

We’re very excited about Sonic coming to Xbox 360. What’s the most exciting thing for you about bringing Sonic the Hedgehog to the next-gen?
Masato Nakamura: I’m really excited about the power of next-gen. We’re doing a lot of trials, but the technology enables us to do many things that have been impossible with the current generation of consoles.
Sega has called the Xbox 360 version of Sonic the Hedgehog a “reinvention” of the series. What plans do you have to shake things up?
Masato Nakamura: Unfortunately I cannot give out any information on this at this moment. Although, I am sure that the content will be something very exciting!
And what classic elements of the Sonic the Hedgehog series will remain?
Masato Nakamura: Sonic may evolve, but his speed and characteristics will not change. Sonic will be the fastest and coolest hedgehog, just like he’s always been.

Does the increased power of the Xbox 360 mean you can add things to the Sonic gameplay that weren’t possible on lesser machines?
Masato Nakamura: Yes, a lot of things will be possible. At the moment we are still developing a lot of things, but by the time the game is playable I am sure that the players will be able to feel the difference.
It has been said this will be the fastest Sonic game ever. How are you ensuring players will be blown away by the speed?
Masato Nakamura: Next-gen technology enables the game to be more realistic and these effects will have a great impact on “speed.” We are still under development, but we are doing our best to ensure the players will be blown away by it.
And we’ve seen other screens of Sonic facing off against hundreds of robots. Will players find themselves in this kind of huge battle often?
Masato Nakamura: Unfortunately I can’t comment on this at the moment. However, we are working our hardest in order to make dramatic scenarios

Will any of Sonic’s friends be making an appearance in the Xbox 360 version, and will you be introducing any new characters?
Masato Nakamura: You’ll have to wait and see on this, look forward to seeing something exciting!
Do you have plans for Xbox Live play?
Masato Nakamura: We are still reviewing this at the moment.
It’s Sonic’s fifteenth birthday this year – apart from the Xbox 360 game do you have any other plans to celebrate in style?
Masato Nakamura: Sonic Riders for Xbox is also a title that coincides with Sonic’s 15th birthday and it has very exciting features! But yes, we do wish to do something exciting for Sonic’s 15th birthday.
We’d love to see some classic Sonic games available for download on Xbox Live Arcade. Do you have any plans to do anything like that?
Masato Nakamura: Yes, we hope we can do something like it.

Do you think the arrival of a Sonic the Hedgehog game will help to raise the profile of the Xbox 360 in Japan?
Masato Nakamura: This is a tough question. If Sonic titles are seen as a fun, the number of players will increase and that will also help raise the profile of Xbox 360 in Japan.
Finally, what do you see in the future for Sonic on Xbox 360?
Masato Nakamura: This is another tough question! I have no idea on what will happen in the future. When we are able to extract the all power of Xbox 360, I think Sonic will evolve with it, so I’m hoping!
Many thanks for your time, Nakamura-san!
Sonic The Hedgehog is expected to speed onto Xbox 360 before the end of the year.
