INFO: Redundancies at French studio Spiders (Steelrising, GreedFall). This summer, the Paris-based studio will be cutting its workforce by 9% (9 people out of 93).

This cutback comes on the heels of Nacon's cancellation in early June of a project that Spiders had been developing for two and a half years.

Project 'Dark', a licensed action-RPG, was supposed to embody Spiders' mutation after its takeover by Nacon, who wanted to turn it into a two-headed studio. However, the difficulties encountered with GreedFall 2 mobilized more and more of the studio's forces, to the point of putting Dark on the back burner.
