The company said today it will combine its VAIO personal- computer, Walkman and Sony Computer Entertainment game businesses in the newly formed Networked Products & Services Group to focus on creating gadgets that can work with each other and connect to the Internet. من الي فهمته ان سوني قررت انها تدمج ثلاث اقسام في قسم واحد, يعني اللابتوبات (VAIO) والووكمنز والبلاي ستيشن راح يتم تطويرهم تحت قسم واحد برئاسة Kazuo Hirai. عشان يركزون على عمل اجهزة تشتغل مع بعضها.

بصراحة انا ماني فاهم السالفة 100%, ولا ادري وش تأثير هالخطوة على SCE ومشاريعها. فاللي فاهم ياليت يوضح اكثر.

* Sony Computer Entertainment, VAIO, Walkman and Sony Media Software will be merged into The Networked Products & Services Group starting April 1, 2009
* The goal of the new group is to develop a common service platform across Sony products
* Kazuo Hirai will be leading the Networked Products & Services Group, also the president of SCE
* Kunimasa Suzuki will become Senior VP of Sony Corporation and Deputy President of this group
* The Bravia LCD TV, Cyber-shot digital camera and Audio & Video Operations will merge into The New Consumer Products Group
* Hiroshi Yoshioka, the head of Bravia, will be leading this group
* Sony will create a new Software & Technology, Manufacturing and Procurement teams across divisions to bolster connectivity of products & services and save costs​

مثلا يدمجون جوال مع psp عشان مكسب اكثر :w00t:

ويجعلون رابط بين ps3 و الابتوب الخاص بسوني

الاستفادة من الخبرات الموجودة بالقسام هذي ويستفاد منها باقسام ثانية بدال قسم واحد
