An excellent story with excellent characters is further supported by a strong artistic style and an easy to use interface. Plus, there's a new intro and additional scenes!
7.0 Graphics
Slightly upgraded from its SNES days, the visuals in Final Fantasy IV advance are still pretty solid. There is some occasional slowdown during the more populated battles, however.
8.0 Sound
Nobuo Uematsu's soundtrack for this is among the best ever, but the remixed versions of some of the songs were best left to the originals.
9.0 Gameplay
Simple and straightforward, there is little that FF4 does wrong. It's balancing is spot-on, its system is easy to learn, and the new harder difficulty setting is a welcome improvement.
8.5 Lasting Appeal
Two new bonus dungeons, extra character abilities, and several little additions that are best left for you to discover makes this an easy choice for multiple playthroughs again and again.
