8.0 Presentation
The cutscenes are really lame with wild pantomime, out of sync animations set to text subtitles, but on the whole this game looks and feels like a Viewtiful Joe game.
9.0 Graphics
Even with the drop to 30 FPS from the console's 60, this game looks awesome and seriously pushes the DS's 3D hardware harder than anything out so far.
7.5 Sound
The music's a little electronica and generic, but still retains the VJ theme. It would have been cool if Clover stuffed more voice-over into the cart.
8.5 Gameplay
This DS game focuses more on puzzles than beat-em-up action, but even with the limited action it still retains a lot of what makes VJ such a cool franchise.
8.0 Lasting Appeal
No multiplayer, but the solo outing has a ton of levels and challenges, and it's not something you can blow through in a day.
