Set to be published by Bandai, Every Extend Extra is a puzzle game that, at first glance, resembles Lumines thanks to its slick visual style. Described as an action shooting game rather than a puzzler, the game screen is just as confusing as Lumines was when we first saw it. In the one screen we've seen so far, the left and right sides of the screen show a grid not unlike the playfield of Lumines. Towards the center, the game displays the phrase "Chain Bonus" atop a flood of circular lights and a spider-like creature that appears to be crawling around. The screen displays stats for things like high score, score, stock next extend, chain and what appears to be a timer.
Obviously, like Lumines, Every Extend Extra is a game that needs to be played before we can fully understand it. Q Entertainment creative leader Tetsuya Mizuguchi has stated that the game will combine music with gameplay just like Lumines, so we expect that hearing will play an important part as well.
