للي ما سمع الخبر من فترة. نقابة الكتاب الامريكية اضربو عن العمل من فترة

السبب:
The disagreement stems over the studio and network’s reluctance to pay residuals
for DVD and internet media.

مسلسلات و برامج كثيرة تاثرت بهذا الشي..

هيروز اوريجن تكنسل.. و الحلقة الاخيرة للموسم الثاني ممكن تنعرض اقرب مما نتوقع (الموسم يكون اقصر)
كولبير ريبورت و كل برامج الدردشة المسائية اتكنسلت حلقاتها الجديدة (جي لينو - كونان ..الخ) و تنعرض حاليا حلقات معادة سابقة لها

و هذي قائمة بباقي البرامج:

Entourage, Big Love: Summer of 08, will likely be pushed back later if the strike continues.
Lost: Has 8 of 16 episodes ready to run.
Scrubs: Expected to complete 12 of 18 episodes.
Jericho: All shows ready, no season delay expected.
Friday Night Lights: 15 of 22 episodes ready.
Battlestar Galactica: "10 hours" worth of material ready, with a two hour movie finished.
Men in Trees: 19 of 27 completed.
Everybody Hates Chris: All eps completed.
October Road: 13 shows written.
The Simpsons: 22 shows complete, though the crew cautions that rewrites are usually inevitable so the future is uncertain in the meantime.
Prison Break: 13 episodes written, can do a season finale prematurely if need be.
Damages: Has not yet been picked up by FX; strike will not allow FX to go into preproduction and the show will be in limbo, much like Heroes: Origins.
Monk, Psych: Half of each season ready for shooting.
Nip/Tuck: have enough shows to last into February; last eight will be determined later.
The Shield: Season has been written.
The Wire: Episodes are complete, full season to air as expected.
Law and Order: CI: 10 of 22 episodes finished.
Cane: All eps completed.
24: Huge production issues with only eight eps completed, and several rewrites in order. It could be pushed back into later 2008.
The Office: unknown at this time.

# Hollywood's film and television writers went on strike early this morning after last-ditch efforts to negotiate a deal with the major studios failed Sunday.

# Both sides are girding for what many believe will be a long and debilitating strike, potentially more disruptive than the 22-week walkout by writers in 1988, which cost the entertainment industry an estimated $500 million.

# Even as negotiators were hunkered down behind closed doors, strike captains were sending e-mail notices to guild members and guild directors, informing them where to show up today on the picket lines.

# Earlier in the day, writers at the guild's West Coast headquarters in the Fairfax district had loaded their picket signs onto trucks.

# The union had organized a network of 300 strike captains who were ready to stage daily pickets at all the major studios, including Disney and Warner Bros. as well as CBS Television City and NBC headquarters in Burbank.

# "When we asked if they would stop the clock for the purpose of delaying the strike to allow negotiations to continue, they refused," Counter said.

# Several TV studios have reminded employees that they have the option to resign from the guild and still work. "We're not concerned about our members going fi-core," said Jeff Hermanson, assistant executive director for the Writers Guild of America, West. He added that only a handful of members have financial core status today.

سمعت عن اضرابهم بالاخبار ,

حسب مافهمت انهم يبغون ارباح من بيع مسلسلاتهم وافلامهم عن طريق dvd وغيرها من طرق العرض ثانيه , وشركات الانتاج تقول ان هذا راح يأثر على حجم مصاريفهم بأنتاج الافلام والمسلسلات ..

اتوقع ان شركات الانتاج ظالمتهم لأن الكاتب فقط ياخذ ارباح من عرض مسلسله بتلفزيون بس لو ينباع بـdvd مايحصل ولا دولار , بالمقابل تقدر شركات الانتاج تعطيهم نسبه بسيطه ومعقوله وبكذا تحل المشكلة ..
 
الكتاب هم الجنود المخفيين او خلف الستار لنجاح أي عمل سينمائي أو تلفزيوني ..مهما كان الاخراج ابداعي والميزانية مفتوحة بمئات الملايين وشهرة الممثلين طاغية على سطح المخروبة الارضية ..أهم شيء هو القصة وطريقة سردها والحوارات

من حقهم الصراحة ..90% من نجاح الافلام والمسلسلات بيعتمد عليهم بشكل مباشر , حطوا نفسكم مكانهم ورح تعرفوا هالشي..

من ناحيتي مافي مشكلة ..أهم شي كاتب باب الحارة 3 يكون بعيد عنهم :yuck:

الجلب يعني توهم يصحون؟؟؟؟؟؟ غريبه بس ترى لهم حق الكاتب هو الجذر من دونه مافي شي
 
تراها مشكلة كبيرة ..

هو المفروض القنوات الناقله تدفع مبالغ محترمه لهذول عشان عرضه في التلفزيون .. واعتقد هذا الشي الي بيصير لا محاله .. لان لو ما سووها بيخسرون كثييييييير.

نشوف آخرتها ايش معهم ...
 
أي عمل من وجهة نظري (سينمائي أو تلفزيوني أو حتى جيمزي) نسبة كبيرة من نجاحه يعتمد على القصة ...
العمل الي فيه قصة ممتازة لو جاء متوسط في النواحي الأخرى بينجح نجاح كبير ...
لكن العمل الي قصته تعبانة يحتاج لجهد كبير في النواحي الأخرى لتجاوز هذا العيب و تحقيق نجاح كبير ...
و صراحة من حق الكتاب القيام بهذا الإضراب و لو كنت معاهم كان لقيتوني العقل المدبر لهذا الاضراب :cooool:

Popular TV show "24" is the latest serial to be affected by the writer's strike. Fox announced Wednesday that the seventh season premiere is being postponed, pending a resolution of the WGA strike that began Monday.

Fox released a statement that read: "The seventh season premiere of '24' is being postponed to ensure that 'Day 7' can air uninterrupted, in its entirety."

Fox also announced in the statement that "American Idol"'s seventh season will debut with a two-night, four-hour premiere on January 15 and 16, 2008.
