In a recent interview, a-e Interactive recently spoke to Jen-Hsun Huang, CEO of Nvidia, a leading developer of graphics chips. Although the Wii’s graphical hardware is being provided by rival company ATI Technologies, there have been some interesting comments made on the upcoming generation of video gaming along with positive press for Nintendo’s Wii.

When it came down to whether Nvidia chose the right console to support in the upcoming battle, Huang noted “You can't build chips for all the game consoles. That's not possible. They would all like a slightly different style from the others. Difference is important. The same chip company would have difficulty designing chips for the different styles. It's also so high stakes that you need to focus. No one has enough extraneous resources around to build chips for all the game consoles.”

Previously Nvidia worked with Microsoft, providing the GPU for their first generation machine, Xbox. With the company’s second effort, Xbox360, Nvidia “could not afford to build the graphics for the 360. I know I couldn't afford it. I would love to build it. I just can't afford it." Nvidia are now set to provide graphics resources for Sony’s third home console, and when questioned on the use of Blu-Ray for the company’s optical storage, there was “no sense for the PlayStation 3 to use DVDs. To postpone it by a few months so they could include Blu-Ray was a master stroke. When that comes out, it's going to look so much more advanced than last-generation game consoles. I think that was a wonderful call on their part... If I'm going to buy a next-generation game console, I'm going to buy a console with next-generation media. It's going to last 10 years.”

When leaving the Xbox and PS3 discussion, Huang talked about his views on Nintendo’s approach – leaving the traditional leap into the latest graphical technology.

“Nintendo's perspective has always been different. The platforms that are being built now are not just game consoles. You use it for all kinds of other kinds of applications. In the case of Nintendo, they wanted to build a game console. They built a wonderful game device. Their focus is games and enjoyment. They will be myopically focused on that. I think that is terrific. Their perspective is different from the other two.”

وهذا مقال كامل بعد ما حبيت أحطه في موضوع لحاله .. يتكلم عن أنا ليش الوي ما أستخدم

Hi-Def: The Mistake That Nintendo Avoided

Sony's Mistake:
Sony has blamed the PS3's Blu-ray drive for a multitude of system issues, including the $600 U.S. price tag. "Don't worry about the high price," they say, "because really you're getting a lot for very little."

Sony is operating on the assumption that people will buy the PS3 for the Blu-ray player without resenting the lack of an option not to, a strategy that worked well for the PS2. When the PS2 first launched in Japan, the most popular piece of software bought with the system wasn't even a game, but The Matrix on DVD.

Yet how much demand is there for Blu-ray players? Even with their obvious advantages over the VHS, it took DVDs six years (1997 to 2003) to match video tapes in the rental stores. And unlike DVDs, which offered many features that VHS couldn't, Blu-ray's main benefit over a standard DVD is that it can fit a high definition movie.

The catch, of course, is that in order to see any benefit from a high definition movie you have to own an HD TV.

Cost of an average HD TV? More than $1000.

The PS3 relies on a feature that can't be utilized without equipment that sells for double the PS3 itself. Sony is hoping the PS3 will be carried by a feature that will go almost unused by the time the PS3 is replaced by the PS4.

المستقبل بأسرع وقت ممكن وحتى ولو بتكلفه عاليه.. لكن أنشاء الله يمشي بالسوق صح..
ويتفادى الأخطاء ويهتم شوي بالزبائن ولا يخصص فئه معينه،، شباب عطونا رايكم بالنسبه لها النقطه...

على العموم شباب أنا رايح انام،، وراي بكره دوام..........تصبحون على خير.^__^.

الله يعلم المستقبل أيش يخبي لها الميزة وهل تكون منبوذه أم لا ....

مستقبل التلفزيون و واقعه الان في بعض الدول الغريبه هو ال HD .. الشغله مهي شغلة العاب و بس .. برامج و مسلسلات ال Primetime في امريكا و اغلب الدول الاوربيه كلها تبث HD .. و في المستقبل القريب البث التلفزيوني كامل بيكون HD

الاقبال على شراء تلفزيونات ال hd يشكل 80% من مجموع التلفزونات المباعه في امريكا و النسبة في ازدياد .. وصف منبوذه ابعد ما يكون عن ال hd

على فكره المقاله الي انت جايبها باين ان الي كاتبها مفوت و مهو داري عن السالفه خخخخخخخخ

لول ديفل مي كراي ايش رأيي في ايش.. مثل ماقال جين سن هوانق رئيس انفيديا, شي مستحيل إنك تنزل جهاز لمدة 10 سنوات قادمة بدون Blu-Ray, سوني اتخذت القرار الصحيح والحتمي.. ثم المقال فعلا أحسه مستبق للأحداث, مدري ليش يعتبر إن الHD خطأ مع إنه لسة بدري جدا على هذا الكلام وغالبا إنه راح يكون خاطئ..

مايموتو اعتقد ان قال هذا الوقت هو موب وقت الـ HD قال نسبة وجود تلفزيونات الـ HD
في العالم قليلة وقال ان الـ HD الحقيقي يبدء من عند 1080p اعتقد سوني ذكية ورح تدعم هذي الصيغة
وكذالك تلميح قوي على ان الجهاز إلي بعد الوي رح يدعم الـ 1080p

كلام انفيديا سليم 100% لان كلامه يتكلم عن المدى البعيد البلايستيشن 3 مثلا مواصافاته

ممتازة لجهاز عمره 11 سنة فالجهاز يحتاج لمساحة ضخمة للألعاب وخدمات متكاملة

أما من سينظر للمدى القريب من ناحية النجاح والفشل فهو خريج مدرسة مايكروسوفت

عشاقها منهم بالطبع ولعل اكبر دليل على هذا هو مسألة أحجام الألعاب والخلاف بين DVD9 وBD

عمر الوي وبكل صراحة لن يتعدى 6 سنوات للأسباب التقنية بغض النظر عن فكرة التحكم الحلوة
