Every year, magazine '60 millions de consommateurs' ('60 Million Consumers') publishes its awards for the worst companies of the year. Among the guests for 2019 are SNCF (French national railway company), FNAC (retail chain selling cultural and electronic products) and, surprisingly, Nintendo. The Japanese firm has indeed been pointed out by many buyers following the Joy-Con problems.
This is what 60 Million Consumers wanted to underline by mentioning Nintendo during the third edition of its "cactus de la conso" ('cactus of consumption'). They awarded the "cactus of the too fragile product" to the Switch because of the problems linked to Joy-Con Drift, which the company took some time to recognize and take care of. Your device is affected when the joystick sends inputs to the screen while you aren't touching it or when the joystick is in neutral position. The other problem is that without proof of purchase, customers are forced to pay 45 euros to have their Joy-Con repaired.
