8.0/8.5 - Great
If you play a lot of games, then you have got to play this one. It might not be among the very best available, but it's worth your time. If this is the type of game that appeals to you, then this one should be an automatic purchase.
يا ترى هل الناس لحد الحين مصرة أن دائرة سونيك مستمرة ؟
While it's not quite the stunning triumph that many had hoped for, Sonic Generations is a truly great game that provides some of the best Sonic action ever seen and pays fitting tribute to Sonic the Hedgehog -- highlighting both his successes and his failures. If Sonic Team can keep this up, then the blue blur will most definitely be back on top.

SEGA confirms their mascot's return to form with Sonic Generations. While the game suffers from some minor gameplay issues and framerate issues, the game is no less beautiful and has a ton of fanservice. With its dual gameplay scheme, Sonic Generations is a worthy celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog's history on home consoles, designed for both nostalgic fans and newcomers alike.
Pros: Two Sonics in one game, very visually-pleasing, lots of fanservice
Cons: Sonic is sometimes tough to control ("Sonic sometimes goes where he wants"), framerate issues, narrative is a bit simple
"In conclusion, Sonic Generations is SEGA's promise to return to high standards, and we can say they have fulfilled that promise. We were faced with a great, varied and frenetic platforming adventure, boasting two rich, rewarding gameplay styles. All of this, accompanied by visuals and sound at a level which will remind fans of the great moments throughout Sonic's history. This cocktail is garnished with a lot of extras and challenges, and thus it is a satisfying title will be beneficial to fans of the blue blur. The story mode is a bit short, and the boss count is a bit low, but its virtues outweigh the flaws listed, and it is an essential title for fans of Sonic the Hedgehog--it seems like it marks the way forward [for the series]."
Pros: 2 Sonics--2 gameplay styles, RPG elements (I assume they refer to the buying of skills), lots of replayability value, extremely enjoyable atmosphere, there's something for everyone in this game, can be challenging.
Cons: controls might be iffy, loading times, might be a little too challenging at times
Of course there is always one isn’t there? This time Tim Turi of Game Informer was the culprit. He took all but 4 minutes out of his life to write four paragraphs and call it a professional review. He gave Sonic Generations 6.75/10, I won’t provide a link to the review because he managed to spoil the ending in his ‘review’.
His reason for giving the game a mediocre rating? Apparently all post Dreamcast era levels ruin the game for him! Yep, some how the aesthetic alone or perhaps simply knowing they are from post Dreamcast era has made the level design terrible. I suspect that Tim didn’t get the memo that they aren’t actually the SAME levels, they simply share the same aesthetic as the original levels.
GETTA LOADA THIS:
“Why would Sega pass up full level tributes to Sonic 3 or Sonic CD in favor of a remixed version of a stage from Sonic Colors, which released only a year ago?”
Game Informer.
I’m actually convinced that some critics wouldn’t know what made a good Sonic game if it hit them in the face. Was the concept of celebrating 20 years of Sonic lost on this guy? And why pick Planet Wisp of all levels to take out your misguided anger on? One of the best Sonic Levels in recent memory… There used to be something very wrong with Sonic games, now there is something wrong with videogame critics. I can’t believe they get paid for this shit- what a Joke.
