Some people might not have "gotten" LittleBigPlanet, but even the naysayers had to admit that it was at least creative. And Lionhead Studio president Peter Molyneux would seem to agree.
Gamesindustry.biz is reporting that Molyneux has nominated LittleBigPlanet for the "most important creative innovation of 2008" award in the Creative and Business International Network review of the past year. In his nomination, Molyneux lauded the game's creativity, calling it "oustanding."
"LittleBigPlanet has outstanding creative vision. It's from a British start-up studio and is one of the defining titles on Japan's Sony PlayStation 3," he said.
Good news for a game that served as Sony's flagship game over the holiday season. And with LittleBigPlanet having reportedly racked up 1.3 million in sales, the news should keep getting better.
