9:45am on Friday in Japan, launch day for Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Japan’s biggest electronics store Yodobashi in Akihabara opened 10 minutes ago.
Here for a channel check.

More point-of-sale displays from the same store.
The entire store is full of Pokémon – not surprising, given it’s the biggest console launch of 2019 in Japan.
(Not sure why the sticker prices are higher than what the display shows.) pic.twitter.com/hwxrfs7j7m

Now at the Bic Camera store in Akihabara.
They put one dedicated point-of-sale for Pokemon outside.
On the floor where they sell TVs, they use the large ones to advertise the game. pic.twitter.com/3A5stEWYAK
