Here are some things I really need to comment on .. I'll talk about the main menu and the online
Comparing the PS3's online service to the 360's we find the following
Sony did a great job making an online service available .. With great online servers .. But nothing is perfect .. While playing any game online or even offline while the PS3 it self is connected online, you can't do a voice chat with someone on the friend list while playing .. And that's really disappointing .. The 360's online service is more of a community .. You'll never feel lonely .. You can always chat with friends while playing different games wither it's online your playing or not .. Which makes gaming from my point of view more interesting and fun .. You can get tips from you friend and stuff .. I can't explain the feeling .. You must try that to .. know what I mean .. I'm sure people who tried that would understand and appreciate this
feature and would want it to be available on the PS3
Another thing .. It not being a community, there for you can't invite your friend to an online game if he isn't online in the game .. If he was on the system's main menu he wouldn't receive the invite .. And that's stupid .. In addition .. If someone sent you a friend invite in the game and you accepted it, don't think that you'll find him on your friends list on the main menu .. You'll only find him in the friend list of the game it self .. It not being a united online service makes communicating harder .. So I don't know why people were happy that some games are going to bring there own online service like xFire .. That's only gonna make things worse .. So people should be disappointed not happy to hear that some games are bringing there own online service with it
Moving to the System
As most of us know .. The PSP has almost the same system .. I hoped at least we would see some kind of improvement on that system .. And sloving a lot of problems that faced me while using the PSP previously .. Unfortunately I don't see any solution .. I see new stuff but the old stuff has the same problems .. Let me give you an example .. Most of us and me to begin with were complaining because we couldn't hear music for instance and see pictures at once .. Well guess what everybody .. Same thing goes for the PS3 .. Before I thought that the problem was with the PSP and that it's processor and ram couldn't handle multi tasks at once .. But now with the PS3 .. The hell there is no excuse .. You can't even hear music and get in the settings menus .. Which means you can't even change your settings while hearing music .. Of course all of us know that the 360 can do that even if you turn a game on the music will continue to play on .. Even if the game didn't have a custom sound track option you wouldn't have to worry .. I don't know what games on the 360 have that option .. Because honestly I've never used it .. The 360's system offers me a better option .. So I really don't need to know what games have that option .. Thank god it music can be played while using the browser .. I don't really use it anyway but is I would .. I'd certainly want to hear music while browsing
If I find any other things I'll post them here
In the end .. Sony still has much to learn
Update :
I remembered one thing .. If you had friends online .. You wouldn't know if they were even dead .. There is no sign of life .. You just see a nickname with an avatar and a 3 word motto .. In the 360 you can know what is he playing .. What game .. What stage .. Online or offline .. If it is a joinable session you can get in .. You can know what is he watching .. What movie or what ever .. There are too many signs of life there
Another thing is .. If you receive a message during playing a game .. You can't open and read the message with out quieting the game .. You have to get out of the game to read it and after you quit the game and closed everything up only to just read this message .. You find out later that it's only an idiot who just signed in and just wanted to say hi .. Of course you can read the message while playing the game on the 360
