ماهي باتابون؟

Sony has really taken the lead when it comes to original rhythm games on their platforms. The company has introduced gamers to the rhythm of Vib Ribbon, Parappa The Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy. Their latest title that will bring the beat to gamers early next year is Patapon, a rhythm game with diminutive warriors and colorful enemies. Melding elements of rhythm and action together, Patapon's funky style could create a completely new genre by itself. We grabbed a drum and prepared to pound out a beat as we checked out the preview of the game.

Your job is to lead the Patapons through different missions with the help of your magical drums, performing songs that tell them when to attack, advance and defend themselves, amongst other things. This is done in time with the beat of the game, which is highlighted with a box along the outside edges of the screen. By hitting the right combination of face buttons for a specific song in time to the beat, your Patapons will sing along and perform the action that you have chosen. Constantly hitting this rhythm in sequence will add to your combo and get them closer to "Fever Mode." In this excited state, each Patapon moves quicker and lands stronger attacks against their targets.

Now, you're not simply controlling a horde of Patapons as they march across the plains. Players can field up to three squads of unique Patapons, each with their own different abilities. The Yaripons are spear throwing characters, while the Tatapons are axe and shield carrying front line warriors and the Yumipons are archers. Based on the creatures you defeat and the items you discover, you'll be able to equip your squads with stronger gear, making them more resistant to damage from attacks while handing out more punishment. You'll also be able to take advantage of different mini-games to acquire new upgradable items, such as playing a trumpet for a dancing tree, which can further give you weapons or building materials for your troops, which is an important factor in keeping your small army going.

See, materials and items are used to summon additional Patapons for your squads, as well as resurrect fallen warriors. This can only be done at the Tree of Life in Patapolis, the Patapon village, as long as players have accumulated the right items and enough Ka-Ching (the game's form of currency). Once the right items have been collected, the power of the deity is channeled and the Patapon springs forth from the tree, ready to fight for his people. If they fall in battle, you can avoid having to spend money for dead Patapons as long as you rescue the dead soldier's equipment. This isn't particularly easy, however, because some guardian spirits and enemy opponents will eat Patapons and their equipment whole if you're not careful with your battle tactics.

Visually striking with an addictive soundtrack, Patapon's mix of strategy, action and rhythm should appeal to a large number of players. We'll have more on the unique title soon, but for now, check out these videos of the little warriors in action.

هذه و لوكوروكو ... أكثر ألعاب المحمول الي جذبتني على الاطلاق و هي الي فعلا تتسمى ألعاب محمول لأنها الأنسب

+ اللعبة سوبر كيوت مثل لوكو ;p

أتوقع إنها راح تكون أول لعبة أصليّة أشتريها للجهاز !!

مع أن ما فهمت طريقة اللعب إلى الآن كيف راح تكون بالضبط ! ولكن تظل حلوة ^^
