هذي جوائز قسم البلاي ستيشن 3:

Best Action Game:

Heavenly Sword

Developer: Ninja Theory
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: September 4, 2007

Fear not, gamer, Heavenly Sword isn't just arena battles. Sure, the game featuring a foxy redhead named Nariko cutting bad guys to bits has always looked cool, but secretly, we feared this game was turning into a one-trick pony. At E3 we got to defend our fortress from waves of advancing enemies, flaming barrels and kamikaze jerks and go up against a massive boss packing deadly swords and killer defenses. Pwned, fears.

Did we mention we also saw the introduction of a brand new playable character? That's right, now you can play as Kai, Nariko's sister, and take out enemies with a crossbow. Oh, and the game still looks great on a purely visual level. The fourth can't get here fast enough, slice-and-dice fans.

Runner-Ups:

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Naughty Dog Software)

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (Insomniac Games)

واو .. هيفنلي سورد أحسن من انشارتد وراتشت ؟ IGN رهيب.

Best First Person Shooter:
Killzone 2

Developer: Guerilla Games/SCEE
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: February 2008

When Killzone 2 was initially shown off two years ago, it blew everyone's minds. There was no way in the world the visuals we witnessed of ISA soldiers descending from the skies into a destroyed city. It had to be CG. It had to be some visual illusion that Sony was playing on our eyes. The PS3 couldn't possibly give us those visuals. As time went on and we see any information released on the title, we felt that we'd been the victim of a cruel joke.

Then came this year's presentation, which was running in real time, and Sony made believers of us all once again. Not only was the demo an almost exact replica of what we'd seen two years ago, the gameplay was stunning. Killzone 2 featured a cover system that players will need to use to survive fierce firefights, incredibly smooth lighting and impressive physics. Sony, we apologize for doubting you - this could be one of the most amazing shooters ever made.

Runner(s)-Up:

Call of Duty 4 (Activision)

Unreal Tournament 3 (Midway Games)

كلامهم رهيب عن كيل زون 2.. يجي يا IGN.

Best Racing Game:
Burnout Paradise

Developer: Criterion Games
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Release Date: January 2008

We at IGN have been huge Burnout fans for the longest time, and one of the great things about the franchise is that Criterion never sits still. The series is constantly evolving and transforming, and the studio is taking big risks with its premiere racer. Instead of playing race-by-race, event-by-event, Burnout Paradise is an open-world game, one that lets you do anything, anywhere you want. In contrast to other racers that have attempted to do something similar, Burnout Paradise brings everything to you, right now.

Though we'll never grow tired of the existing Burnout formula, we're excited to see what Criterion can do with the new design. What we've seen so far looks fantastic, both from a visual and gameplay perspective. Criterion is the developer to beat when it comes to arcade racing and crashes, and it doesn't look like they're going to give up their spot at the top anytime soon.

Runner(s)-Up:

DiRT (Codemasters)

Best Downloadable Console Game:
Pain

Developer: Idol Minds Digital Entertainment
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: TBA 2008

Admit it: hurting yourself isn't funny, but watching other people hurt themselves is hilarious. Pain capitalizes on this concept, allowing you to take a character and fling them into a physics controlled environment via a massive slingshot. Based upon the number of collisions that you string together and the objects that you break, you can complete goals or acquire new high scores. Just to keep things interesting, you'll have a couple of different modes you can smash your way through. How can you go wrong with a title that has games called Mime Toss and Spank the Monkey? What's more, you'll be able to save your tosses and show them off to friends. With lots of downloadable content planned for the game, this could be the game that continues to hurt so good for a long time on the PSN.

Runner(s)-Up:Everyday Shooter (Sony Computer Entertainment)

Best Graphics Technology:

Killzone 2

Developer: Guerilla Games
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: February 2008

To say that we were impressed by the Killzone 2 demo at E3 2007 would be an understatement. We had hoped, but didn't necessarily expect, Guerilla Games would be able to come close to the original CG trailer shown over two years ago. After months and years of silence, it's proven that the demo wasn't simply a standalone trailer, but that it truly did show us what to expect.

The game has the word visceral written all over it. Bullets never stop whizzing, smoke and dust never stop flying and soldiers never stop coming. What we're promised is a no-holds-barred shooter that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.

Though it's nice that the game looks fun, it was more important for Sony to show that it could deliver on all of the initial CG trailers that promised incredible visuals. Killzone 2 has done just that.

Runner(s)-Up:

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision)

Unreal Tournament 3 (Midway)

Best Artistic Design:
LittleBigPlanet

Developer: Media Molecule
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: February 2008

Very few titles that were shown at this year's E3 seemed to have the artistic creativity or fresh design elements that could content with LittleBigPlanet. The game, which is completely based around physically interacting with your environment, is left up to your own devices. You create your levels, make your own puzzles and run your little rag-doll like creatures through stages that are only bound by your own imagination. Everything, from the stickers you slap on walls to the look of your own character, is easily manipulated and placed in the game world. What's more, once you've finished building your dream level, you can share it with other players and check out their unique stages. Built around artistic creativity, LittleBigPlanet is easily the most original title we've seen in a long time.

Runner(s)-Up:
Heavenly Sword (Sony Computer Entertainment)

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (Sony Computer Entertainment)

Award for Technical Excellence:
LittleBigPlanet

Developer: Media Molecule
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: February 2008

It may not have amazing pro-pixel leatherization diffusion effects or push an incredible number of polygons, but LittleBigPlanet still looks phenomenal. Its art direction is fantastic, but the way that everything in the game is tied together so well is what makes it excel. Physics are everything in LittleBigPlanet, be it a fruit, blocks of wood or even your character's movement and interaction abilities. The game almost looks like a tech demo of sorts, except that it's a platform open to everyone.

And that perhaps is the most impressive part. With the ability, and intention, for users to create whatever they want, however they want, content will be endless. The designers are quick to note that even they won't be able to think of all the ways that users will be able to use their tools, which says a lot.

Runner(s)-Up:
The Eye of Judgment (Sony Computer Entertainment)

PlayStation Home (Sony Computer Entertainment)

Most Innovative Design:
LittleBigPlanet

Developer: Media Molecule
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: February 2008

Watch a demo of LittleBigPlanet -- hell, hear someone talk about LittleBigPlanet -- and it's easy to understand why this game is being honored for its design; you seamlessly create and modify the in-game environment while playing through logic-based puzzles that feature real-time physics. Players guide a little fabric dude named Sackboy through a variety of challenges that range from using jetpacks and teamwork to get a snail shell onto a lever that will lift a door to working with some buds to get a skateboard moving. Eventually, you'll start whipping up personalized levels and challenges made of cardboard walls that you can cut and tear on command, personal photos, strawberry stamps and richly textured corduroy triangles. All of this happens in minutes from an easy-to-use interface, called "Pop It," that appears above Sackboy's head like a thought balloon. Once you've crafted your masterpiece, post it online for other players to download and try. Co-op play, the ability to comment on other people's levels and some stunning, colorful graphics -- add it all up, and this title is one of the most anticipated games of 2008.

Runner-Up:
The Eye of Judgement (SCE Studios Japan)

Best Non-Playable Presentation:Metal Gear Solid 4

Developer: Kojima Productions
Publisher: Konami
Release Date: March 2008

If there was a collective "wow" that emanated from the Sony Press Conference, it had to be when Hideo Kojima presented the trailer of the eagerly anticipated Metal Gear Solid 4. We've known for a while that this would be the last title in the MGS series, but we didn't expect to see any of the content shown in this video. Not only did we witness the crippling effects of FOXDIE come to life, we saw a jaw dropping fight between Raiden and Vamp that blew us all away. You could hear the "oohs" from the crowd as each parry and attack was launched between both characters, and witnessing them perform deathblow after deathblow, only to come back for more only boosted our level of excitement. We had a feeling that the game would get pushed back to 2008, but with adrenaline racing sequences like that one, we can definitely wait.

Runner(s)-Up:

Infamous (Sony Computer Entertainment

Gran Turismo 5 (Sony Computer Entertainment)

Biggest Surprise:
Price Drop … NOT!

Developer: Sony Computer Entertainment
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: Oh, it's already happened, man!

Let's hear it for Sony, everyone. It's got to be hard for a company to continually think up ways to shoot themselves in the foot, but the Big S keeps on doing it.

As if the awesome GDC presentation followed up by the loss of Devil May Cry exclusivity wasn't enough, Sony prefaced an awesome E3 by announcing they were dropping the price of the 60GB PS3 to $500. People rejoiced throughout the land.

Then, they announced the price drop was only until the company sold out of its 60GB stock. Once they're gone, the PS3 -- albeit an 80GB PS3 -- is back to $600.

Sigh.

Runner-Ups:
Killzone 2 is awesome.

Game of the Show:
Killzone 2

Developer: Guerrilla Games/SCEE
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
Release Date: February 2008

Way, way back in 2005, Sony marched onto the E3 stage and showed a Killzone 2 trailer. It was amazing, Sony said it was gameplay, everyone and their mother called the company a bunch of liars, and Killzone 2 went into seclusion. This E3, Sony marched on stage, said what we were about to see was gameplay and blew our mind with crazy-good footage. Air transports. Shooting. Explosions. Set two years after the first Killzone, you'll be behind the weapons of a battle-hardened vet named Sev. Dear God, thank you for this first-person shooter. Smooth lighting, bullets whizzing past our heads -- it's too much to bear! Put us into a coma until February, Buddha, Jesus, Count Chocula -- anybody!
