April 13, 2006 - Publisher Ubisoft has officially announced one game - Red Steel - for Nintendo's new generation console, codenamed Revolution. But there may be more titles on the way, according to newly appointed Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallat. In a recent interview with Gamasutra, Mallat had nothing but good things to say about Revolution and suggested that more Ubisoft report could be forthcoming.
"I can say definitely, as any other developer, we are looking at this magical platform, and we want to be part of the adventure," Mallat explained. He made mention of Red Steel, which was recently announced, and added: "And I'm pretty sure we'll see other Revolution games from Ubisoft. And some of them, I'm sure, will be made from Montreal."

هههه .. هالآدمي فلة.Matt-IGN قال:April 20: Get Ready
Yes. Get ready. Prepare yourself. Buckle up. Because ladies and gents, this is the day that 50 NDAs expire.
And that is, by the way, a load of crap.
Where did this rumor come from? Seriously. Stop e-mailing me about it. I have not signed any NDA that expires on April 20 and unless Nintendo is planning to spoil its E3 presence three weeks early, I seriously doubt anybody else has, either.
I am in talks with publishers about posting some of their Revolution stuff prior to E3. I like to think I'm fairly in-the-know where these titles are concerned. And I can't recall any company that is planning to reveal its Revolution game on April 20.
Red Steel has been the exception to the rule.
Nintendo has a stranglehold on all Revolution games -- to the point, in fact, where titles are very likely to be exclusively shown at Nintendo's E3 booth. Meaning, third parties won't be featuring any Revolution game at their respective booths, if hearsay is to be believed.
By the way, I'm pretty sure I know what the other secret feature is. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Please murder April 20.
April 23, meanwhile, daaaaaammn...
Yeah, that's a joke. Do not start an April 23 rumor.
Speaking with Nintendo of Europe, Red Steel Producer Marie-Sol Beaudry discussed the development history and progress of Ubisoft's exclusive Wii launch title.
During the company's pre-E3 2006 press conference, Nintendo revealed the Wii Remote's internal speaker, able to play various in-game sounds. It would seem, however, that third parties have only recently gained access to the technology. "We just discovered the built-in controller speaker feature around E3 and we are now working on how to use it for single and multiplayer," said Beaudry concerning current development.
Beaudry also touched on the team's reasoning for basing Red Steel in Asia. "The whole concept of the game is built around the controller and the fact that you feel you have the weapon in your hand," she said. "As it is a new way of using and feeling a sword or a gun, the player has to master it. That is why the game takes place in Asia where the notions of mastery in combat are very important. A gun requires the player to become more and more precise in his shooting whereas with the sword, you will learn several techniques of fighting."
